This hotel is the best in Kuopio! The hotel is located on the shore of the large Kallanvesi lake and the view is wonderful. In front of the hotel and next to it is the wonderful Väinölänniemi free big park surrounded by water. This park has wonderful natural beaches and the area is the safest area in Kuopio to move around. In this area, women can move in the evening without any risk to them. A wonderful place for hotels and people to be in Finland. Finland's best areas For a hotel in a big modern city in Finland?

Very kind staff, both at the reception and the waiter at a restaurant, wide range of products for breakfast (also without lactose or gluten), nice swimming pool, sauna and gym, the room well-equipped with mini-bar, hairdryer, iron, etc, location at the lake, 10 minutes walk from the square, very cosy restaurant with staff aiming to help and advise you.

- super friendly and helpful staff, no matter if reception, breakfast staff, restaurant, cleaner - beautiful location and sea view - free parking I had an awesome time there and I will definitely come back.

Lovely hotel. Room had balcony overlooking the lake. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were particularly impressed with the young man in the restaurant (a long term employee he told us) who was so friendly and helpful. Very convenient location for the centre and walks around the lake.

Breakfast had all the sort of minimum requirements and plenty to choose from. Parking is divided into two sections. Might get crowded in a more busy season. The room was pretty quiet and the door soundproofing a bit better than usual, I think.

Excellent location close to the lake, good sauna and swimming pool, free bikes to rent, very good breakfast.

Good stay at the Scandic again, nice large room, good breakfast options with all kind of food, and then you have the fitness room, can take a nice swim or relax in the sauna.

Nice hotel with large rooms and good shower. It is nicely located close to a lake and it offers a great breakfast buffet. Also it offered a gym, sauna and a pool.

Relaxed but professional service. The restaurant looked like ”just a nar/restaurant but surpriced is with very tasty doshes and nice service

Nice pool, very nice and clean room. Table tennis was big plus. Distance from the city center is very short.
